Sweet + Simple Baby Shower

Earlier in the month, my friend Heather and I had the joy of throwing a baby shower for our dear friend and coworker, Tiana. Tiana is the Operations Business Manager at DIAKADI and is loved by so many! She is a rock star at her job and we have no doubt that she is going to be a fabulous mama!

While pulling together her party, we knew we wanted it to be sweet and simple.

We used Minted's new online invitations to spread the word and invite our guests. Online invites are new for Minted so they are FREE during their beta trail which lasts until June 30th. Planning a party? Check them out!

We gathered party goods from some of my favorite places: Oh Happy Day Shop, Paper Eskimo, and Papersource

One of my favorite parts of this shower was pulling together the party favors. Here is what you need:

This was a pretty simple project but plan to sit with it awhile if you are somewhat of a perfectionist. I alternated in colors cutting a few bands and then cutting a few triangles.

Start with a prototype so you can determine how long your bands should be as well as how big your triangles should be. Once I determined this, I cut out the exact amount necessary for this project. I found it easiest to have all of my materials ready to go, including the bands and triangles, so you can just assemble at once.

When ready, take one band and wrap around the base of the succulent and seal with scotch tape. Next, take the opposite color of paper that is shaped like a triangle, center the succulent on the paper and then take the points of the triangle, wrap around to meet, then glue down.

Your final step is taking a name tag and clipping down with a mini clothespin! Simple, easy favors that everyone will love.

The party favors look just as good as this cake from Sift. How can you go wrong? A white glitter cake that is pink inside and takes like champagne heaven!
