Here's a glimpse at my Valentine's Day ... love, family, friends, and sharing.
Hello, lovelies! Remember my Friendsgiving Tablescape I was excited to share with you?
Well, I decided to enter Paper Source's holiday crafting contest that was in full effect. I was really excited about my design but I know there are so many beautiful creatives out in the world ... what are the chances that my design would shine?
Today I received this beautiful email + it MADE MY DAY!
"Congratulations! Your wonderful Gold Chevron “Friends-giving” creation has been selected as the 2nd Place WINNER of our Holiday Crafting Contest in the Décor category! Your creativity was wonder for all of us! I hope you had as much fun making and sharing this lovely table setting, as we did getting to see it!"
Please check out Paper Source's blog for all the amazing winners.
If you look closely or zoom in, you will see that 'happiness' is the word on the card my friend, Tomas, is holding. I cannot think of a better expression that described this day and each of us. Just full of happiness.
I was so excited to host our annual Friendsgiving at my home this year. It was the perfect space for all of us to come together and cook, sing, laugh hysterically, dine, share what we are grateful for, take crazy pics and of course, dance it out.
What I am most proud of is this year's tablescape. I wanted a modern and stylish look yet welcoming and warm. Here is what I came up with.

How do you make your birthday memorable?
I love spending time with those that mean the most to me. And, adding a little creative flare.
I have a thing for packaging. I believe gifts should have personal touch, detail and beauty. I love finding beautiful paper or items to really wow those that see it. This gives me such joy!
Over the weekend I stopped in one of my favorite stores, Paper Source, to check out art supplies for my best friend's daughter. While there I also laid my eyes on this fun, exotic paper. Made from India, it has a zig zag pattern with the colors of hot pink, red and gold. It has flare and sass yet a girly touch ... just like little Stella. Perfect. Her fashionable birthday gift will make its way from SFO to MKE. Can't wait!
